# Playing field

The playing field must be a flat soft surface (for example, covered with tatami at least 40 mm thick and density of not less than 180 kg/m3) in the shape of a rhombus without any obstacles and enclosed in a 3m high fence, made of springy mesh with a section of the cell not less than 20 x 20 mm. For official competitions, as well as for new playgrounds being built, the dimensions measured along the inside of the rhombus lines of the restrictive lines shall be 17.9 meters each of the rhombus edges (32 meters long and 16 meters wide along the tops of the rhombus). The enclosure must have a door for players to enter the playing field. The door should be able to open and close quickly.
